Surfers who are participating in the Metropolitan Circuit on Saturday, can look forward to awesome conditions according to Carlos Enrique Brenes, a spokesman for the Federation of Surf, who added that in Palo Seco de Parrita, Puntarenas, the waves should reach four meters.
“This will be one of the largest wave sets so far this year,” commented Brenes.
Wave prediction was based on information from “the most accurate website in the world, www.wetsand.com, which predicts the maximum size during the early hours of the morning, where the breeze will come from east to west and an intensity of 20 knots, therefore, preferred conditions for competition, said Brenes.
He added that to this gathering is expected to draw in surfers in all categories, coming from the entire Central Valley.
The competition, which will be only on Saturday, will start at 7:30 am and end at 4 pm with the awards ceremony.
