Given the large number of people who travel throughout the country to enjoy their vacations during Holy Week, the authorities of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT)called tourists for responsibility.A series of infographics with advice and recommendations to be responsible and safe tourists during days of rest and reflection is part of the institution’s campaign.
“The days are coming when many people will enjoy a well-deserved rest touring the wonders of our country and that is why we invite you to be responsible tourists by not leaving personal belongings neglected or visible in vehicles, not entering places with some kind of prohibition, do not illegally enter protected areas, collect garbage, protect flora and fauna, do not feed the animals or take selfies with them”, said Alberto López, general manager of the ICT.
Preferring companies that have an ICT Tourism Declaration or at least a commercial patent and health permit for operation, is important when organizing your vacations, according to the ICT.
