Singer-songwriter and Esencial Costa Rica country ambassador Jose Cañas consolidates a new professional stage by launching Café Bendita Tierra, inspired by his artistic project of the same name.

The initiative expands the scope of “Bendita Tierra,” which has already been featured in documentaries, international tours, and a multi-award-winning album, now becoming an experience linked to Costa Rican coffee.

“Bendita Tierra was born out of a deep love for the land that saw me grow up and has marked my music and my life,” said El Cañas.

The project takes shape as “El café de los artistas” (The Artists’ Coffee), a proposal that connects creation, cultural identity, and the symbolic value of Costa Rican soil.

“Costa Rica is a blessed land where everything flourishes, because our DNA comes from agricultural work and respect for the soil,” said El Cañas.

Café Bendita Tierra is being developed alongside entrepreneur and marketer Adriana Arroyo, partner and commercial director of the project.

The alliance seeks to take coffee beyond the cup, through experiences, events, and a narrative based on the art of living.

“The world of coffee needs to renew itself without losing its mystique, and we want to bring freshness with coffee and music from Costa Rica,” said Adriana Arroyo.

The coffee is specialty coffee from the Los Santos region, with high-quality processes and specialized technical supervision.

The product is grown at 1,700 meters above sea level, sun-dried, and available in washed and peaberry varieties.

Café Bendita Tierra offers a medium roast with fruity notes, vanilla and caramel, bright acidity, and a silky body.

It is available in 340-gram and 500-gram packages, both whole bean and ground.

“We want people to ask themselves what Costa Rica tastes like while listening to our music and enjoying a cup of coffee,” said El Cañas.

In this first stage, the coffee is sold by order, home delivery, and e-commerce.

The project targets the local market and is simultaneously moving forward with export processes to Europe, Asia, and the United States.

With this initiative, Bendita Tierra reinforces its vision of a country where art, agriculture, and culture converge in a single experience.
