Starting today, April 17th, Santa Teresa will host the national and Latin American surf tournament, the Reef Classic Adrenaline Rush 2013, third stop of Latin American Tour.
This event will bring together leading figures already established in the world of surfing, but also emerging talents.
Waves are expected to reach two meters in height, which will thrill surfing fans.
In attendance is Mexican Angelo Lozano, Gabriel Escudero of Puerto Rico, Martín Passeri from Argentina and Uruguay Luis Manuel Iturria, among many others.
But Costa Rica is not be left behind and hopes are pinned on Carlos Muñoz, who has put the country’s name on the top of the list on several occasions.
Other Costa Ricans competing are Luis Vindas, Gilbert Brown, Ramon Taliani, Anthony Fillingim, Noe Mar McGonagle, Jason Torres, Jair Perez and Federico Pilurzo.
The tournament will be a five-star event, which means that the winner will earn 6000 points in the Open category and about 2.5 million colones in cash and prizes.
The starting signal will be at 8:00 am and will be watched by hundreds of fans in Playa Carmen, Santa Teresa.
