Venezuela’s foreign minister, Elias Jaua, confirmed the expulsion of a second attache of the U.S. Embassy.
Costal Deblin, was expelled for “making unauthorized contacts with officials of the Armed Forces,” said Jaua.
The US Offcial removal was announced by Vice President Nicolás Maduro.
The Venezuelan government gave U.S. officials 24 hours to leave Venezuela.
The Pentagon spokesman Todd Breasseale, said in a statement that Costal was already in U.S. at the time Jaua made the announcement.
