Latin America News – Venezuela President Hugo Chavez, who started the socialist revolution in Venezuela, challenged U.S. influence and revived the leftist movement in Latin America, died Tuesday at age 58 after a two-year fight with cancer.
Vice President Nicolas Maduro, announced the death on national television, stating Chavez died at 4:25 p.m. local time.
