The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Costa Rica that has been authorized to export beef to the United Arab Emirates, but still lacks a health certificate to fulfill the agreement, said an official source.
Authorization was granted by the Ministry of Environment and Water of the UAE, but the parties are still negotiating about the health certificate necessary for export in this case.
Costa Rica expects that this document will be approved within a period of two months, according to a statement from the National Animal Health Service (SENASA).
The general director of SENASA, Bernardo Jaén, he said they will reap large gains for producers and the meat industry in the country with a new market like the UAE. (ADN)
