Eduardo Esquivel is a Costa Rican model whose career will take a giant leap thanks to avocados. The Tico stars in the most recent Avocados de México ad that will be seen in millions of American homes this coming Sunday. This during the broadcast of Super Bowl LVII between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

    The detail of the ad

Esquivel shares credits in the one-minute ad with actress Anna Faris, who has declared herself a fan of avocados. In the commercial, the Tico appears scantily clad in an environment that recreates Eden. In the commercial he plays Adam and Faris in the role of Eve. Then, The Big Apple -as New York is known- becomes The Big Avocado and everything revolves around this fruit.

This is the eighth announcement of Avocados de México in the last decade, since this nation is the main exporter of avocados to the United States. It is estimated that the weekend before the Super Bowl about 250 million kilos of avocado are consumed. Something like enough to cover a football stadium. Avocado exports represented nearly $3 billion for Mexico, most of which were generated by the state of Michoacán.

    Who is the Tico?

As for the Costa Rican in the ad, Esquivel owns the modeling agency Volt Models. In his review, the Tico assures that it is the first agency specialized in male models in Central America, although they also sign women. Esquivel lives in Mexico and there he was signed by the New Icon Models agency. He is also an actor.
