San Jose [TCRN] – Last week the National Association of Public and Private Employees (ANEP), working on behalf of several labor unions asked the National Wages Council an increase of 4.96% for the private sector. Negotiations continue this week.
The increase wanted for the beginning of the second semester July 1, 1012 will affect more than 1.5 million employees working for the private sector.
The National Wages Council, consisting of the Ministry of Labor, Unions and Employers, On Thursday, June 21, the government will release its recommendation will set the new minimum wage rate.
