4.4 Earthquake in Nicoya, October 7, 2012This morning, being 1:00 am, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook the region Mw Cóbano.The movement was located 6 miles southwest of Cóbano, with 21.3 kilometers deep.
This earthquake was reported as felt in Cóbano, Paquera, Santa Teresa, Montezuma, Miramar, Esparza, Tacares of Greece, Puntarenas and Jacó. Mild in Heredia, San Francisco de Dos Rios, Paso Ancho, Alajuelita, San Jose and Perez Zeledon.
The movement originated from the Cocos plate.
