Luis Angel Castro, Plan B and Santos y Zurdo are already confirmed to preform and the organizers are confident they will bring in another prominent Costa Rican band to the festival.
This festival promoting the culture, art, history of the Caribbean Coast is only able to take place through generous donations of people excited about preserving the culture and art of the South Caribbean.
Association EDACS is a non-profit association whose mission is to bring educational opportunities to the youth of the South Caribbean by promoting pride in local culture, developing artistic capabilities, providing opportunity to participate in sport and giving hope for a future of success! Since 2006, EDACS has brought free workshops benefiting more than 400 young people.
EDACS has also contributed to the fixing of the electrical and the water systems in the Casa de Cultura of Puerto Viejo, sponsored various mosaic art pieces and murals around Puerto Viejo, and sponsored other festivals including the book festival and the alternative medicine fair.
All events at the Puerto Viejo Carnival –Arte Viva are free of charge, so why not send on a small (or not so small) donation.
