The National Meteorological Institute reports that this Saturday, June 27, the country will experience stable weather conditions due to low humidity. This situation will be partly attributed to the presence of Saharan dust over the Caribbean Sea basin. Additionally, trade winds will remain strong due to rising atmospheric pressure in that basin.

The IMN forecasts little precipitation across most of the country. However, it does not rule out brief showers along the Limón coast due to storms that could form offshore, near the coastline. During the afternoon, the highest probability of rain will be concentrated over the country’s mountain ranges.

In the Central Valley, skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy in the early morning and morning. Cloud cover will increase in the afternoon, with isolated thunderstorms expected in the west. In San José, the low will be 19.3 °C and the high will be 26.6 °C.

The Northern Pacific will remain windy during the early morning and morning, with few clouds. In the afternoon, skies will be partly cloudy, and at night, cloud cover will decrease again. Liberia will see a low of 23.8 °C and a high of 35.7 °C.

In the Central Pacific, skies will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy during the first half of the day. In the afternoon, there will be thunderstorms, and partly cloudy conditions will persist at night. Parrita will have a low of 18.8 °C and a high of 31.6 °C.

The South Pacific will also start with few clouds, with cloud cover increasing in the afternoon. The IMN forecasts thunderstorms during that period. Golfito will reach a low of 22.3 °C and a high of 27.9 °C.

In the Northern Caribbean, scattered showers are expected in the morning. In the afternoon, the chance of showers will increase near the mountains, and conditions will be partly to mostly cloudy at night. Guápiles will see a low of 22.2 °C and a high of 29 °C.

The Southern Caribbean will start with few clouds. In the afternoon, showers are expected near the mountains, and overnight, skies will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Limón will have a low of 21.8 °C and a high of 28.7 °C.

The northern region will see scattered showers in the morning. In the afternoon, the chance of showers near the mountains will increase, and overnight, conditions will return to partly to mostly cloudy skies. Ciudad Quesada will see a low of 18.5 °C and a high of 27.2 °C.

The IMN notes that stable atmospheric conditions will lead to a day with little rain across most of the country. However, the mountain ranges and some areas of the Caribbean will continue to have the highest probability of precipitation during the afternoon.
