    Police on Alert for Illegal Nicaraguan’s Crossing Border to Set up Shop in Costa Rica

    After last weekend eviction of several Nicaraguan families back to their country police are on alert patrolling the area.

    The illegal’s were crossing the border setting up make shift homes, burning the scrub-land for agricultural.

    Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Roverssi said that although there has always been a flow across of Nicaraguan’s across the border and “we are seeing a much more of it now”.

    Approval is pending for the Comptroller General of the Republic to give approval for $18 million to initiate several projects to improve controls.
