One Million Costa Rican Students Return to Class Today for the 2015 School Year

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) –  Today the 2015 school year begins for over 950,000 Costa Rican students spread throughout more than 5,000 schools, said an official source.

The president of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis, and the Minister of Education, Sonia Marta Mora, are holding an official ceremony at the Liceo de Pavas, San José, to inaugurate the lessons.

For 2015, the MEP has a budget of 7.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP), about $4 billion, a 13.6% increase from last year. (ACAN-EFE)
