The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Starting tomorrow, Wednesday October 1 at 10:00 am, and 10:00 am on Sunday November 3, an electronic form to participate in the visa lottery program organized by the United States State Department will be available.
Through this lottery 50,000 permanent resident visas are granted to persons from countries with low immigration rates to the United States, such as Costa Rica.
Those interested in participating should enter, starting tomorrow at www.dvlottery.state.gov to file the application electronically. All that’s required is a valid e-mail address to sign up.
This is a free service offered by the State Department of United States, which does not require intermediaries to enroll in the program.
The United States Embassy has no direct connection with this process, so those interested must use the web address listed above; no other page.
Applications will not be accepted on paper, only electronically. Each person can only submit one application; submitting more than one will result in immediate disqualification for participation in the program.
The selection information will be available in May 2015.
