Costa Rican Maricruz Ortíz Wins 4th World Youth Racquetball Title

Costa Rican Maricruz Ortíz was proclaimed, last Saturday, world champion in youth category racquetball for the 4th time. This was reported by Olman Mora, a journalist for the National Olympic Committee (CON), who explained that the Costa Rican won this Saturday in 3 sets to the Bolivian Micaela Meneses, with partials of 11-15, 15-2 and 11-10.

The 1st crown conquered it in 2012 in Los Angeles, United States. “I was 10 years old and it was the first time that a Costa Rican achieved a gold medal in a world championship in this sport”, Ortíz recalled.
