Upon arrival in San Jose, Finch will have a meeting with Chinchilla to discuss the importance of a shared effort in the address of crimes facing the two countries, and to encouraging investment in security and defense, the Ministry of Defense through a statement.
Finch then meet with the Minister of Public Security, the Interior and Police of Costa Rica, Mario Zamora, who will discuss mechanisms to fight drug trafficking, money laundering, cybercrime and trafficking.
They will also address issues related to cooperation and offer new of cooperation with the Colombian Armed Forces.
Among them, the Costa Rican police training, 383 of which were formed in Colombia between 2005 and 2012.
The third item on the agenda of Finch will be with members of the Inter-American Court, with which Colombia has opened various cases to investigate the possible involvement of the states in violation of international humanitarian law (IHL).
Before returning to Colombia, Pinzón will attend the conference “Public Force as a guarantor of human rights in Colombia”, in American Institute of Human Rights (IIHR).
