The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Costa Rica elections will take place on Sunday,February 2 and for the first time Costa Ricans will be able to cast their vote from abroad through a digital form.
The electoral body estimates that the figure may reach 15.000 voters by October 2, deadline for Costa Ricans to register and change their voting address. However, they will be able to vote only for the post of President and not for deputies.
More than half of these voters live in New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Miami, as well as in Canada, Mexico and Spain. The total number of voters living abroad will be made public in November. EF
