Amazon is Hosting a Job Fair This Week to Hire 200 New Costa Rican Employees; Bilingual Applicants Have the Upper Hand

The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Amazon Support Services in Costa Rica is holding a job fair on December 17 and 18 to hire 200 new employees. They are looking to recruit primarily in the areas of customer service and management for their business centers located at Calle Blancos and Lagunilla de Heredia.

Those interested should apply through their websitewww.amazon.com/jobs and the company will receive resumes from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Those hired will begin working in January 2015.

In particular, the company is seeking multilingual applicants versed in English, Portuguese and Italian. “We invite anyone with excellent command of English and other languages ​​to come to our facilities and to apply online,” said Alejandro Filloy, general manager of Amazon in Costa Rica.

Last October Amazon announced during the opening of its fourth service center that it would hire 1,000 new jobs in customer service, administrative and human resources, and management positions.

The company began its first customer service center in Costa Rica with 50 employees in 2008 and now has over 2,000 people in its payroll. (El  Financier)
