New Sustainability Tour Supports Regenerative Solutions

Have you ever experienced sustainable community living? Are you interested in a rainforest adventure that explores solutions for living in harmony with nature?

Come to Costa Rica and join social benefit organization Upward Spirals on the Sustainable Living Expedition! This week-long educational expedition is based at a spectacular eco-retreat center and includes field trips to local projects that demonstrate organic farming, natural building, renewable energy, regenerative business, community development, and other sustainable living modalities. The next event takes place August 6th to 13th, 2017, at the Diamante Center.

Nestled in the magnificent mountains of Southern Pacific Costa Rica, among some of the best waterfalls and beaches in the world, this 55-acre paradise features lush jungle, permaculture zones, food forests with hundreds of fruit trees, organic gardens, reforestation areas, open spaces, hiking trails, and direct access to the famous Baru waterfalls and river upstream. In between activities, you are welcome to relax in hammocks, swim in natural pools, and rejuvenate your mind and body with daily yoga and meditation on the rainforest deck.

The tropical paradise surrounding the center is home to some of the world’s greatest biodiversity and a great variety of people working to build a more beautiful future for all living beings. Participants learn from a diverse team of local experts focused on regenerative solutions. These innovative pioneers, families, and social benefit organizations share what they have learned in the process of becoming more sustainable. In addition to visiting local farms, communities, and impact centers, the expedition includes a day trip to the beautiful Dominical beach, for lunch and a swim. Wander the long sandy beaches, wade in the warm Pacific waters, or catch some waves and enjoy the best surfing in the world. Learn more about the itinerary, REQUEST ITINERARY.

The enrollment fee of $1,325 includes lodging in a shared cabin at Diamante Center for eight days (seven nights), transportation to and from the SJO airport (and for all excursions), three vegetarian meals a day (mostly organic with a variety of seasonal fruit), and a flash drive with a massive sustainability library with guides, tools, and much more.
