The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Finally at noon today, the Playa Association of Puntarenas, Asoplaya, received the necessary endorsements from the Ministry of Security for the Carnaval’s safety plan.
Victor Matarrita, vice president of the organization, confirmed that the latest proposal regarding the number of security officers for various weekend activities – such as the concert on Saturday – was approved.
The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Security announced yesterday that they had denied the permits once again for weaknesses in the security plan.
In the end, the festival will have 150 officers, which was approved by the Ministry of Security.
Now they are just waiting for the finalization of the permits so that they can continue with the festivities as planned.
Matarrita expects the full approval before 4 pm so the Ministry of Health can remove the seals that were placed yesterday, after a temporary closure was issued for the fiesta. (ADN)
