    Tropical Storm Sandy Causing Damage on Costa Rica Caribbean Coast
    Costa Rica weather to be affected by Tropical Storm Sandy for next couple days: Several areas of the southern area of the Central Valley were affected by landslides and flooding from the impact of Tropical Storm Sandy, located 440 kilometers southwest of Jamaica.

    According to the National Emergency Commission (CNE) incidents were reported in Perez Zeledon, San Jose and Acosta. In the canton of Dota landslides were recorded in isolated rural roads to the residents of San Isidro de Santa María.

    The CNE reported coordinated with the Emergency Committee Aguirre to bring food and humanitarian aid to some areas, while municipalities worked on opening roads.

    The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) said Tropical Storm Sandy is moving slowly about 10 miles per hour, causes the surrounding atmosphere in the country to mixe with the tropical storm and could create intermittent intense rainfall throughout the region.
