Latin America Getting Richer – How Rich is Rich?

    In the last decade, Latin America has shown tremendous growth supported by the strong economic and political reforms implemented during in the past 20 years, the region, even during a global meltdown, managed to show significant growth patterns throughout Latin America.

    Global Centa- Millionaires (people worth $100 Million) has risen dramatically over the past decade. Latin America saw a 67% increase in centa- millionaires between 2006 and 2011, the largest per capita in the world, dominating North America which only saw a 6% increase over the same period. Projections from 2011 to 2016 predict show that Latin American will continue to lead globally with 60% with North America at 24%. (See graphic below from The Wealth Report 2012)

    How Rich is Rich?

    While nearly 1 in 2 people on this planet have a net worth of less than $10,000, a select few are worth more than a million dollars. And an even more select group is worth a billion or more.
