The Salt Lake Tribune named doTERRA one of the top companies in the state to work. Now, that same business is opening up opportunities in Costa Rica.

When doTERRA employees were interviewed, WorkplaceDynamics, LLC found high levels of personal and professional satisfaction among workers, including positive health benefits and a competitive salary. These results placed the company on The Salt Lake Tribune’s Top Workplaces of 2015.

“One of the questions in the survey was, ‘My job makes me feel like I am part of something meaningful,’” explains doTERRA CEO, David Sterling. “This is exactly what doTERRA is striving for. We are working to improve the health of families through essential oils, to create jobs in developing countries through doTERRA Co-Impact Sourcing™ and to support our employees in making a difference in their communities and all over the world.”

WorkplaceDynamics is a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. In 2006, they developed the Top Workplaces list which is now published in The Salt Lake Tribune so as to recognize healthy workplace practices and inspire others to do better. According to their CEO, Doug Claffey:

[quote_center]“To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health.”[/quote_center]

But they weren’t the only ones that found the Utah-based company exemplary. During the same year, doTERRA was named Best of State for essential oils, received the Pleasant Grove Mayor’s Award and won Business of the Year by Utah Valley BusinessQ.

    Who is doTERRA

The Salt Lake Tribune calls doTERRA “world leader in the sourcing, testing, manufacturing, and distribution of CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils through a global network of Independent Product Consultants.”

In addition to traditional essential oils which can be used aromatically, topically and even internally for health, relaxation and cooking, doTERRA also offers a line of cleaning and wellness supplies for all ages and health conditions. Their products are available to be shipped from doTERRA’s numerous warehouses worldwide, including the Mexico, Costa Rica and Guatemala in Latin America.

    A Company that Cares

Two-thirds of the countries that provide ingredients for doTERRA’s essential oils are considered developing nations. That’s why the company uses Co-Impact Sourcing to find the best possible ingredients in their natural environment while helping out the communities who are most adept at growing them. In addition to ethical sourcing, doTERRA fronts all overhead and administration costs for their Healing Hands Foundation so that all donations and profits from select products will go directly toward funding community service projects. Previous activities include:

    • Nepal Earthquake Relief 2015
    • Jamaica Day of Service 2015
    • Haiti HHF Water Project

The Healing Hands Foundation encourages the initiative of doTERRA employees. Therefore, Wellness Advocates are able to request financial support from the organization to head their own service project on a local or global level.

Work for doTERRA in Costa Rica

doTERRA Wellness Advocates — the position which is now available in Costa Rica — work as independent consultants, giving classes on essential oils and earning commissions on doTERRA products. They work flexible hours with the consistent support of fellow colleagues and coaches so as to insure success.

Unlike other direct selling companies that have come and gone, doTERRA has a 65% retention rate for customers, meaning over half of those who try their products continue to reorder on a regular basis. This coupled with the fact Costa Rica is an emerging market for these types of health products gives the position lots of potential.
