The Costa Rican News (TCRN) – Starting today at 9:00 am, Costa Ricans can visit the first U.S. franchise store GAP in the country, located in the Multiplaza Mall, adjacent to its competitor Forever 21 in the space Cemaco once occupied.
As announced last May, the chain chose October as the date of entry to the market and prepares to open a second location in Lincoln Plaza in Moravia, although there is still no definite date.
According Chevisel Saucedo, marketing representative for Brands Holding, from October 10th – 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. the first 200 people entering the store will be awarded gift cards of ₡25,000.
Paul Levy, president of Superior Brands Holding, said in a previous interview that each of the premises will have more than 1,000 square meters of exhibition under the GAP Combo format, including the portfolio of Adult Gap, Gap Kids, BabyGap and Gap Body.
The arrival of GAP in its first phase will generate 75 jobs . Levy acknowledged that the company is studying the possibility of entering other malls , but the idea is to first assess the behavior of the two stores opening.
