    Eco Festival in Chachagua Celebrates Community, Nature, and Music

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Starting yesterday and going through the weekend, the Chachagua community located in the district of Peñas Blancas de San Ramón, will host their Eco-cultural Festival for a better community.

    Artistic groups in the area will come together for the purpose of creating awareness about issues involving the care of the environment and attention of tourism, among others.

    This festival is a community initiative of Chachagua, along with other nearby towns such as San Francisco and La Tigra.

    There will also be information booths of goods and local enterprises selling traditional foods, storytelling, and other activities.

    For the close of the festival there will be a concert with local bands like Bitter Essence Water Zarcas, Alejo, Ciudad Quesada and Deskite, La Fortuna.

    “The aim of the festival is to give people the information to improve their quality of life, and through culture they can optimize the relationship of people with the environment, waste management, the care of the environment and also the boost tourism as an alternative for economic strength,” said Esteban Segura, cultural manager of the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Northern Zone.
