Costa Rican Kids Showed Off Their Cooking Skills

60 children aged 4 and 7 years showed off their culinary skills at Olmos School. The activity took place in Curridabat Mall Center.

Kids registered for the activity at an affordable price.

“Little Chef Costa Rica” third edition is a competition organized by Olmos Preschool that seeks to instill good feeding habits and creativity in the children. It is divided into three categories:

  • Category A: kids aged 4 years, snacks and fruit salads.
  • Category B: kids aged 5 and 6, low-calorie desserts.
  • Category C: kids aged 7 years, creative sandwiches.

What’s it about

The students had a short time limit to make the recipes while they are evaluated for their creativity by renowned chefs like Doris Goldgewicht, Devorah Azevedo and the dietitian Katherine Asch as part of the jury.

What were the requirements to participate?

Parents had to go onto the Olmos Preschool website to pay the fee and register the child in the activity. The registration came with a kit that has an apron, a chef hat, and a spoon.

The contest was held on June 21st.
