The prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine published in its May issue the results of their selection of the 33 best new hotels in the world, and the Andaz Hotel in Guanacaste was one of the chosen.

The magazine explained that this year they evaluated 510 hotels located in 400 cities in 93 countries.

[quote_center]”The result is a collection that will take you from Kenya to Los Angeles, and from St. Petersburg (Russia) to Phuket (Thailand), and speaks of the passions and habits of modern travelers.”[/quote_center]

The list was divided into categories: Best beach hotel, Best Family Hotel, Best Featured Hotel, Most Creative Hotel, Cheapest Hotel, Best Designed Hotel, and Best Food. The Andaz Hotel won Best Family Hotel.

This Costa Rica hotel is, says in the article by Douglas Rogers:

[quote_center]”Just a 20 minute drive from the airport (Daniel Oduber), the Andaz on the Papagayo Peninsula is a natural paradise: a series of stone and timber structures that blend seamlessly with nature.”[/quote_center]

Rogers adds that the hotel is ideal for the family as it has areas and games aimed at the younger members of the house, not to mention, he adds, that they can make sand castles and play on the two private beaches.

Other Latin American hotels included in the list are in Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru.
