The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Regulatory Authority for Public Services (Aresep) of Costa Rica today announced a reduction for the second consecutive month on the prices of fuels: super gasoline will decrease 3.75% and 3.55% for regular.
Following the monthly tariff review, ARESEP announced that the price of a liter of super petrol will decrease from 693 colones ($1.37) to 667 colones ($1.32), while the regular gas will go from 675 colones ($1.33) to 651 colones ($1.28).
ARESEP said in a statement that the reduction in rates is because international prices of crude oil and its derivatives experienced declines between October 24 and November 7.
The new rates will take effect in the next few days when they are published in the official Gazette.
This is the second consecutive month ARESEP lowered fuel prices since late October, when they applied a 4% reduction in gas. (EFE)
