The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Today Costa Rica congratulated Palestine and Israel for resuming negotiations to reach a peace agreement.
The Costa Rican government said in a statement that it “celebrates a new opportunity for peace with the resumption of negotiations” between Palestine and Israel.
Costa Rica expressed “deep satisfaction at the announcement of an upcoming and promising resumption of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, which will be held under the sponsorship of the United States of America.”
“Costa Rica congratulates both parties for their willingness to get involved in direct talks during the next months in order to solve the core sensitive issues that have prevented them from reaching a peace agreement “, said a Foreign Ministry newsletter.
Since Costa Rica does not have an army and is well known for its “commitment to peace”, it expressed its “support to the ongoing efforts to resume the peace process so that it allows the establishment of safe and mutually accepted borders, and conditions aimed at the stability and full human development of both countries. “
Costa Rica hopes these negotiations to ensure the “coexistence of two independent states, the State of Palestine and the State of Israel, within safe and recognized boundaries, in peace, as the world yearns.”
“The Government of Costa Rica restates its willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation that have united our country to the state of Israel and the State of Palestine,” says the official note.
