The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The high winds affecting Costa Rica all this week will calm down starting on Monday, according to forecasts from the National Meteorological Institute (IMN).
The meteorologist Gabriela Chinchilla said the highlands of Central Valley and Guanacaste are areas of the country where the wind will reach the highest speed, while the lower parts of San José will still have windy conditions between 50 and 75 kph.
In the north and the Caribbean areas, intermittent showers will persist in periods of 24 hours. The Pacific is generally expected to remain dry.
The IMN warned that gusty winds could affect the surf, but much less so than the last week, but caution is still advised for boats. (Amelia Rueda)
