The World Bank announced that it committed credits by $400 million between 2012 and 2015 to support a plan to improve higher education in Costa Rica.
With these funds, “Costa Rica will be able to support the public university system, helping to improve their infrastructure, increase their physical capacity, ensuring a better teacher training and research,” noted the Minister of finance. The program is part of the so-called strategic alliance with Bank of Costa Rica, which seeks to develop the competitiveness.
