Latin America News – The vice president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that President Chavez was infected by his enemies and that is the reason he developed cancer.
The official gave statements as part of a cabinet meeting at the presidential palace of Miraflores.
The statement given was by military leaders with governors ruling the country, the interior minister and the president’s brother Adan Chavez, among other government officials.
“The president was attacked by this disease,” said Vice President, referring to the reasons why he developed cancer.
“The enemies (USA) damaged the president” and said they have research to prove it. The meeting came hours after the announcement of a deteriorating health of President Hugo Chavez.

The Vice President also accused the United States of trying to destabilize the country.
