The Costa Rica News (TCRN)- Last week the Swedish company Via Europa was certified by The Board of Telecommunications (Sutel) to operate an ultra-fast Internet network in the country.
VíaEuropa expects to build a neutral network in alliance with Radiografica Costarricense (RACSA). This is a business model that will create an optic fiber network from 10 Mbps (speed that only the corporate sector has, and that allows to upload and download content at the same speed) that could be used by internet and TV service providers through a toll.
The project was launched in 2012 and should have started operating in the first half of the year.
