Ticos Gather to Voice Their Support for Venezuela

    The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Today dozens of Venezuelans living in Costa Rica are concentrated in the Plaza de la Democracia supporting their hometown which is experiencing much violence right now.

    The event was attended by current presidential candidate of National Liberation Party, Johnny Araya, who showed up with his wife, Sandra León. Also at the event was the former candidate for the presidency, Otto Guevara.

    The event began with the singing of the national anthem of Venezuela.  All present condemned the violence in recent days that have occurred in the nation.

    With banners, flags, and painted faces all present were heard chanting, “Freedom, freedom, freedom!” while demanding the resignation of the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.

    They also organized to create a direct and meaningful message for Venezuelans using their bodies: SOS.
