Central America has eight executives on the ranking
Three Costa Rican executives make the list of Latin America’s Top 100 Businesswomen from online publication Latinvex.
Tara Polanco, the general manager of Procter & Gamble in Costa Rica
Silvia Elena Chaves Quesada, the vice president of Distribuidora Florex Centroamericana
Miriam Manrique, the Costa Rica country manager of Amba Research.
The ranking spans 15 countries, the largest that has ever been done on female executives in Latin America.
In Costa Rica, the publication highlights Catherine Reuben, who has been the executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica since November 2011.
The ranking also includes five executives in the rest of Central America, including El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.
Mexico headed the list with 26 entries, then Colombia, with 18. Brazil, Latin America’s top economy, only has 11 entries.
