The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Drug Control Police of Costa Rica (PCD) seized 692.5 kilos of marijuana in a container that was located on a Caribbean port in the country, official sources said.
The drugs were found after a review by drug agents of several containers at Pier German, in Limón. The compressed marijuana was distributed in 14 packages with a total weight of 692.5 kilos.
The authorities arrested a suspect in this case, but they have not provided details of the origin or ownership of the container.
Official figures show that so far this year the Costa Rican authorities have seized nearly six tons of compressed marijuana, while in 2012 the figure was 5.7 tons. (EFE)
