The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Car and motorcycle owners can look forward to a big drop in the price of gas next week: ¢88 for super gasoline, ¢80 for regular and ¢67 for diesel.
Carolina Mora, spokeswoman for the Regulatory Authority for Public Services (ARESEP), said the decline is the largest in the last six months because the price per barrel worldwide is maintaining a downward trend.
This means the price of super gasoline will go from ¢689 to ¢601 per liter, regular will drop from ¢655 to ¢575 and diesel will decrease from ¢607 to ¢540.
Mora also confirmed that the reduction in fuel costs influenced the 5% discount in electricity, which took effect on January 1. (Amelia Rueda)
