    Mild Earthquake Felt in Central and Pacific Parts of Costa Rica October 10, 2012

    6:19 am A mild earthquake was felt in several parts of the country.

    The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) reported a preliminary magnitude of 5.2 degrees, with a depth of 35 km and was located 4 km southwest of Nosara Nicoya, Guanacaste.

    The tremor was felt in the Uruca, Perez Zeledon, Samara, Liberia, Palmares, among others.

    According to the National Seismological Network, the quake was an aftershock of the earthquake of September 5.
