The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The PAC Internal Electoral Tribunal declared today at 12:25 p. m. that Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera is the presidential candidate for the 2014 elections.
There was a difference of only 113 votes between Solis Rivera and Juan Carlos Mendoza, according to Silvia Castro, the TEI president.
Luis Guillermo Solis received a total of 8,153 votes, while Mendoza obtained 8,040. Epsy Campbell took the third place with 5,767 votes, whereas Ronald Solis only obtained 1,019 votes.
Oliver Perez, the president of the Citizen Action Party indicated that certain anomalies were detected in some polling stations, which will be investigated and given attention to. LN
