2025 was a year of significant transformations in the way people consume audiovisual content and enjoy entertainment at home. The integration of affective intelligence (AI), more robust connectivity, next-generation displays, and immersive experiences marked a milestone in the industry. Against this backdrop, LG Electronics stood out by introducing technologies that enhanced image quality, device performance, and the way devices connect to each other to create a more intuitive ecosystem within the home.
One of the most significant technological changes of the year was driven by AI applied to audiovisual processing. New-generation televisions incorporated processors with greater learning capacity, capable of automatically analyzing faces, objects, and movement patterns to adjust the image in real time. In the case of LG, these advances were reflected in its LG OLED and LG QNED televisions, which integrated optimization systems capable of differentiating between sports scenes, movies, and video games, offering more accurate color and contrast treatment. LG OLED models, for example, significantly improved their maximum brightness and black depth thanks to algorithms that identify critical areas of the scene to enhance details without losing naturalness.
Technological advances also reached Mini LED and NanoCell-based screens, which increased color fidelity and the ability to maintain stable colors even in high-light environments. In this regard, LG integrated more precise lighting systems into its LG QNED line, while its NanoCell models added features that adjust the image according to ambient light and user habits, achieving a more personalized experience.
Home ecosystem connectivity was another key focus for 2025. Consumers sought products that worked seamlessly together, without complex configurations, and that easily integrated voice assistants, streaming platforms, and mobile devices. LG responded with significant improvements in the WebOs Re;New program with free updates for up to 5 years, sound bars, and audio systems such as LG xboom. This audio line evolved toward greater power, effects, and lumínicos more dynamic and stable multi-device connectivity, allowing any space in the home to be transformed into a complete entertainment center.
“In 2025, we saw how artificial intelligence ceased to be a concept and became a tangible component that improves the user experience. Today’s televisions not only display content but also interpret, optimize, and adapt it to the needs of the home. This advance marked a significant evolution in the way families will continue to enjoy entertainment at home,” said Wilson Prado, Home Entertainment Product Manager for LG Central America.
As the industry prepares for the announcements at the beginning of the year, expectations are growing around what will be presented at CES 2026, one of the most influential technology fairs in the world. During CES, which will take place between January 6 and 9, 2026, LG will share new technologies that will continue to expand the capabilities of its products such as televisions, audio systems, and white goods. The innovations to be unveiled in Las Vegas will reflect the company’s vision for 2026: smarter homes, more advanced displays, and entertainment that can fully adapt to modern lifestyles.
