Guiones Beach in Nosara, Nicoya Canton, will be the venue where the third date (April 12 and 13) of the 2025 National Surfing Circuit (CNS) will be held, according to official information released by the Federation of that sport. The Circuit will bring together the best of Costa Rican talent during the five days that will be held between February and June of this year.
For 2025, the Costa Rican Surfing Federation established the following calendar:
• Cieneguita Beach (Limón): February 15 and 16.
• Santa Teresa (Cóbano): March 15 and 16.
• Guiones Beach (Nosara): April 12 and 13.
• Dominical Beach: May 24 and 25.
• Final: Playa Hermosa (Jacó): June 20, 21, and 22.
The 2025 national champions will be chosen based on the best four results of each surfer’s ranking, thus discarding the date with the lowest score.
Work plan
Diego Naranjo, Marketing Manager of the CNS 2025, indicated that the organization is already defining the final details for the start of the competitions. “I am working hand in hand with my partner Mike Castro, who won the bid for the 2025 Circuit. Our great work team consists of an interdisciplinary group in different areas from graphic designers to judges, knowledgeable about the regulations and logistics to produce a specialized surfing event,” said Naranjo.
The 2024 edition of the CNS was won by Erika Berra and Malakai Martínez in the open category.
