Ousted President Manuel Zelaya plans to return in 2011 from exile in the Dominican Republic to continue his political project of reshaping Honduras.
In a New Year message distributed by electronic means, Zelaya said the coup that deposed him in June 2009 prolonged the political crisis in 2010 and affected the poor.
Zelaya (2006-2009) said, “that no one be in any doubt that 2011 will be the end of political persecution, my return, and the consolidation of our project to refound Honduras” with the National Front (Frente Nacional) and the Popular Resistance (Resistencia Popular).
