Costa Rica News – At least three earthquakes were reported early this January 1, 2013. The first came at 1:54 am, with a magnitude of 2.7. It was located 5 kilometers deep and 1 kilometer southwest of Puntarenas Golfito Florida.
The second quake was recorded at 02:11 am with a magnitude of 2.4. The epicenter was 1 kilometer northeast of Golfito Estero Colorado, also in Puntarenas.
The latest report from the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica indicates that a third earthquake of magnitude 2.4 was at 5:48 am, at 26 kilometers deep, 1 mile south of Golfito and Puntarenas Conte.
