The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Costa Rica is working on a historic agreement with the Iranian nuclear program and expressed confidence that negotiations will continue to reach a final agreement.
“Costa Rica considers it to be a solid first step towards a lasting and peaceful solution to the Iranian nuclear issue,” said the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The Costa Rican government congratulated the countries involved in the talks to reach an agreement through diplomatic channels and with respect for international law.
“Costa Rica expressed its hope that the negotiations between the group and Iran continue in a positive environment, until a final agreement that guarantees the peaceful use of nuclear technology and materials to Iran, as well as peace and international security,” stated the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry.
The agreement reached by Iran and the group (the U.S., Russia, China, France, UK, France and Germany) provides for the freezing of the Iranian nuclear program for six months, during which it will attempt to reach a global agreement and definitive action. (EFE)
