The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – Costa Rica defeated the United States 3-1 last Friday, avenged his setback in the final round of the qualifying competition and became leader of the CONCACAF Hexagonal towards the World Cup in Brazil.
Johnny Acosta, Celso Borges and Joel Campbell scored for the Ticos, while Clint Dempsey deducted points for the U.S. With three rounds remaining, Costa Rica leads the competition with 14 points, one more than the United States.
Next Tuesday Costa Rica will visit Jamaica, and the United States will welcome Mexico, which lost 3-1 against Honduras. FNL
