The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica , Víctor Manuel Ruiz, has confirmed that many stores saw a 200% increase in sales this Black Friday compared to a normal day.
According to Ruiz, although they are still in the process of collecting data and information to provide a final result of Black Friday sales, they can already confirm that revenues grew by about 200% when compared with a typical day in different locations nationwide.
The items most sought after by buyers were screens, computers, music players, and clothing.
As for the offers, Ruiz said most national retailers extended their offers, promotions and discounts through this weekend to take advantage of the buying frenzy.
Internet shopping is another way Costa Ricans took advantage of Black Friday discounts.
The commercial manager of Aerocasillas, Claudia Selva, said that in the case of purchases made online through thecompany website, they saw an increase of 560% compared to a normal Friday.
