The Costa Rica News (TCRN) -A Boeing 757 of American Airlines, covering the route from San José Costa Rica to Miami, United States, deviated from its course last Thursday and made an emergency landing on the Colombian island of San Andres, after presenting smoke in the cabin, as official sources confirmed.
On board traveled 179 passengers, none of whom was injured. Spokesmen for the company said that it was not a major situation and that no passengers were affected. They added that in the coming hours the flight would be rescheduled.
Nelsy Torregrosa, an official of the Consortium of Airports in San Andrés and Providencia that manages the terminal, told EFE that the plane is being reviewed by the airline workers. EFE
