The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The Internet sales company Amazon announced today that it will expand its operation centers in Costa Rica, which will create 700 new jobs in areas such as customer service, administrative and human resources.
“We found the highest level of talent here and we are proud to add job opportunities and expand our presence in Costa Rica”, said Amazon Central American manager, Alejandro Filloy.
Amazon in Costa Rica has more than 1,500 employees but the expansion of its three service centers in the country will grow from about 3,000 square feet to about 7,000 this year.
“Costa Rica has positioned itself as one of the most competitive locations for Latin American companies with high value added services offered by Amazon,” Filloy told Costa Rican Foreign Trade Minister, Anabel González.
Amazon began operations in Costa Rica in 2008.
