The Costa Rica News (TCRN) – The regional deputy director of the Security Forces of the Northern Border, Commander Steven Trejos said the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) is investigating the launch of an explosive device at a home in the La Cruz, Guanacaste.

According to unofficial versions, there was grenade fragmentation around the area, however, the authorities are in their respective investigations to determine the object used to damage the property.

Witnesses reported that an unidentifiable object was tossed from a moving vehicle that made a very loud noise and caused damage to the home near the explosion. The incident occurred in the morning hours of Thursday.

Trejos said there is no report of people injured by the assault.
